This then saves you from having to do the one massive download each time a majour update is released. Once you have a dev server, all you need to do is run the dev server launcher a couple of times per month to collect all the progressive updates as they happen. Just do a quick search on youtube for "War Thunder dev server" and you'll find plenty of tutorial videos on how to create one, and what you need to do when a major update is released to change your dev server back to "production" (the live game server).
It's very easy to do (and I am definitely not a PC whiz) Every time we have a major update, we see an explosion of posts/threads from people annoyed at the massive download required and/or slow download speeds.Īs is said pretty much every time, you could all save yourself a lot of grief if you create yourself a dev server.
